Chilly weather, heavy rainfall forecast for weekend

AMMAN-- Very cold weather conditions are expected to prevail across the Kingdom, on Friday, with a chance of rainfall in the west and light snowfall in high mountainous areas, the Jordan Meteorological Department said in its daily update, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. اضافة اعلان

Frost formation and freezing conditions are expected in several areas, namely the mountainous areas, with northwesterly brisk wind, the JMD added.

The department warned of floods formation in low-lying areas, slippery roads and low visibility caused by low-altitude clouds.

Temperatures in Amman are expected to range between a high of 6 degrees Celsius during the day, dropping to one degree at night, while in Aqaba mercury levels are forecast to range between a high of 21 degrees and low of 9 degrees at night.
