AMMAN — A Cabinet meeting Wednesday, chaired by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, decided to reconstitute the board of directors of the the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the news agency reported.اضافة اعلان

The new board will be chaired by the Minister of State for Media Affairs. It will include Petra's director-general, Shafiq Obeidat, Hamed Al-Saaydah, Samar Haddadin, Nevin Abdul Hadi, and a Jordan Press Association (JPA) member to be named by the JPA council, as members.

The council also appointed Khaled Ahmad Arabiyat as a full-time commissioner in the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC)'s Board of Commissioners for a four-year term.

The Cabinet also approved the administrative organization regulation for the Ministry of Justice for 2021 to develop work mechanisms in the ministry, activate the principle of specialization in it, raise the efficiency of administrative processes, and expedite decision-making.

Also on Wednesday, the Cabinet approved the inclusion of development zones in its previous decision, related to discounts on verification fees, returns, compensation, and road waste, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
According to the decision, the discount on road waste prices in favor of municipalities and the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) was extended by 25 percent when paying in cash until December 31, 2021.

The Council of Ministers also approved a regulation amending work permits fees regulation for non-Jordanians for 2021 to ease burdens on employers by reducing work permit fees, which will be reflected in production costs in all sectors and businesses.
