Al-Faraya emphasized that the King Hussein Bridge holds a unique status that sets it apart from other border crossings, as it connects Jordan with the Palestinian territories and is subject to procedures by the Israeli side. He noted that traffic through the bridge experiences a significant increase during specific seasons, particularly during the summer, as well as the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage seasons.

He explained that work is currently underway to implement a tender for developing the bridge's infrastructure. He pointed to the construction of dedicated passenger waiting halls and shades equipped with essential services and necessary sanitary facilities, with ongoing efforts to further develop and improve them.

Al-Faraya added that the coming days will see the launch of new projects within the bridge's infrastructure development plan, which will contribute to enhancing the services provided to travelers and raising the operational efficiency of the crossing.
