AMMAN — Horizons Charity Association for Education (HCAE) has provided 71 university scholarships at public universities to households benefiting from the National Aid Fund (NAF) programs, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

An HCAE statement on Sunday said the scholarships are part of the association’s cooperation agreement with Jordanian-Palestinian Business Forum and the NAF.

At least 71 students, who got a 90 percent score or above in the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination, commonly known as Tawjihi, benefited from the agreement. Their families also benefit from NAF’s aid, the statement added.

NAF Acting Director General Barq Damour said the plan is to provide university education to family members benefiting from its programs, and contribute to empowering those groups economically.

He lauded HCAE’s support and implementation of the agreement signed with NAF, which sets the stage for giving out university scholarships to beneficiaries from the fund’s programs.

This agreement serves underprivileged families, and contributes to alleviating their burdens in terms of university education expenses, he pointed out.

Established in 2007, HCAE seeks to assist needy university students to pursue their degrees, and then prepare alumni to join the labor market by holding workshops to improve their social orientation.
