History made for Jordanian boxing in WBC

AMMAN — National team boxer, Mohammad Abu Jaja made history for Jordanian boxing by securing a medal on Wednesday at the World Boxing Championship held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. اضافة اعلان

Abu Jaja. Advanced to the semifinals, winning his third consecutive victory in the tournament and giving the Kingdom its first-ever medal in the WBC.

The Asian champion defeated Bulgarian player Simeonov to reach the semifinals, where he will face Cuban player Alvaraz Ireland.

Meanwhile, Hussein Ashish was eliminated in the quarterfinals after losing to Kazakhstani player Nurbeq Oralbay, and in the same round, Odai Al-Hindawi lost to Russian player Shrapudin Atayev.

Youssef Ashish was also eliminated in the quarterfinals after losing to Uzbek player Abdumalik Khalokov, the Asian champion in the latest edition and the holder of a silver medal in the previous edition of the world championship.
