Under-17 basketball team faces India in AFC Asian Cup 3x3 quarter-finals

AMMAN — Jordan’s national under-17 basketball team is playing a match with its Indian counterpart in the quarter-finals of the fifth edition of the 3x3 AFC Asian Cup at 6:40 am on Sunday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.اضافة اعلان

If Jordan’s Junior Falcons beat India, they will meet the winner of the match between China and Iran which will also be held today at 8:55am, in the semi-finals.

The national team — led by coach Haitham Tlaib and including in its ranks players Bassel Al-Khawaldeh, Muhammad Nasr Al-Din, Mahmoud Obeidat, and Rawhi Kilani — won its three matches in the preliminary round against Singapore (18-16), Samoa (17-11), and Bangladesh (21-7). In the group stage of the Asian Championship, they defeated Turkmenistan (21-13) and lost to Mongolia (10-20).
