Amman —The national basketball team ended its participation in the 20th edition of the Asian Games, held in the Japanese city of Nagoya, today, Wednesday, after losing to South Korea 80-114 in the quarter-final round of the tournament.

The national team had secured its spot in the quarterfinals after finishing the group stage in third place in Group Two with 4 points, earned from a win over Qatar, against two losses to Chinese Taipei and Iran.
South Korea, on the other hand, reached the quarterfinals after topping Group One with a perfect record of 6 points, having achieved three consecutive wins over Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and Japan.
With this result, the national team bowed out of the basketball competition at the Asian Games at the quarter-final stage.
