Following the conclusion of the largest FIFA World Cup in history, which saw Spain crowned champions, Transfermarkt released updated market valuations for the standout players of the tournament.

The update covered 99 players who impressed during the 2026 World Cup, with Spain's Lamine Yamal and Norway's Erling Haaland topping the rankings with record-breaking market values.
According to the new valuations, both Yamal and Haaland are now worth €220 million, setting a new world record for player market value. Each player's valuation increased by €20 million following their performances at the World Cup.
Haaland shines with Norway
The Norwegian striker enjoyed a remarkable tournament, leading Norway to the quarter-finals before the team was eliminated by England in a 2-1 defeat.
Haaland scored seven goals and provided one assist in five matches, taking his international tally to 62 goals in 52 appearances for Norway. His outstanding scoring rate further cemented his status as one of the world's elite strikers.
Yamal continues to make history
Although Lamine Yamal's statistical output was modest scoring one goal and providing one assist in eight matches his exceptional talent and achievements at such a young age propelled his market value to a historic level.
At just 19 years old, Yamal has already won both the FIFA World Cup and the UEFA European Championship, prompting Transfermarkt to regard him as one of football's greatest young talents.
Transfermarkt market value coordinator Tobias Kröger said Yamal had "confirmed his status as the greatest talent in the world," adding that his achievements at this age surpass those of Lionel Messi at the same stage of his career.
Mbappé drops to third
French star Kylian Mbappé ranked third with a market value of €200 million, despite an outstanding tournament in which he scored 10 goals and provided two assists, earning the Golden Boot award.
Mbappé's valuation also increased by €20 million, but France's defeat to Spain prevented him from overtaking Haaland and Yamal in the rankings.
New members join the €100 million club
The latest Transfermarkt update also saw several players surpass the €100
million mark:
Pau Cubarsí (Spain) – €100 million
Enzo Fernández (Argentina) – €100 million
Elliot Anderson (England) – €110 million
Morgan Rogers (England) – €110 million
The 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted jointly by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, featured 48 national teams for the first time in tournament history.
Spain claimed the title by defeating Argentina 1-0 in the final, with Ferran Torres scoring the decisive goal in the 106th minute of extra time.
