AMMAN — should you be getting a PlayStation 5? Many people are wondering exactly that. With its launch being poorly planned, it being difficult to get your hands on one, and scalpers upping the price, people have been left wondering if transitioning to the current generation of video game consoles is actually worth it.اضافة اعلان

So, what makes a PS5 so special? Many can argue that as long as you’re rocking a PlayStation 4 then there really is no urgency, but let’s talk about what makes the new console worthy of your purchase.

The PS5 boasts some pretty hefty hardware, enough to run games at 4K while steadily maintaining that juicy 60 frames per second. To many people, this is already enough to justify the upgrade, but to top it off the system’s SSD drive ensures incredibly fast loading speeds.

The upgrade just seems like the next rational step for any PlayStation owner. But, let’s not forget about why the PlayStation is so popular to begin with, fantastic single player campaigns and exclusives, and here are just a few that might convince you to go for that upgrade as well.

Anyone who owns a PS4 has most likely played or heard of this game’s predecessor — Horizon Zero Dawn — and was blown away with how beautifully designed the game was. Its sequel, Forbidden West, which has already been showcased to some extent has players anxiously waiting for its release.

In Forbidden West, players take control of Aloy, a huntress who lives in a post-apocalyptic world filled with deadly animal-like robots. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic open world set in California, Utah, and Nevada, and explores the enigmatic region known as the Forbidden West.

God of War: Ragnarok

The next game in the extremely popular series will continue the story of Kratos and his son Atreus, and the events leading up the “end of days”.

With the prequel being a masterpiece that brought satisfying combat, utilized a plethora of customization and combos, stunning visuals, and a titillating story that would bring even the coldest of hearts to tears, it is safe to say that Ragnarok is going to be a force to be reckoned with.

Release date: September 21, 2021

Platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Microsoft Windows

Yet another action-adventure game, Kena: Bridge of Spirits gives the player control of Kena, a spirit guide with whimsical abilities.

Set in a fantastical world with Studio Ghibli tonalities, you battle against baddies using your magical staff to execute light, heavy, and charge attacks, while upgrading your staff to gain long range attacks.
With a “dark souls” style of combat, Bridge of Spirits should provide you with a challenging experience that relies on timing to dodge and perform counters while looking for the opportune moment to strike.

All this combined with the PS5’s adaptive triggers and haptic feedback will give players an unparalleled and immerse experience to look forward to.

Death Stranding – Director’s Cut

Release date: September 24, 2021

Platforms: PlayStation 5

Death Stranding is a game that its creator, Hideo Kojima, refers to as a “Strand Game,” the first of its kind with social elements in both offline and online play.

The game is set in a post-cataclysmic United States, where you play as Sam Porter, a courier who is delivering supplies to isolated colonies while trying to reconnect them via a wireless network.

With a hauntingly beautiful world, it’s the player’s duty to traverse the rough terrain while delivering packages as efficiently as possible. While it’s safe to say that this game is not everyone’s cup of tea, the director’s cut will be released with a plethora of new additions that totally revitalize and revamp how the game is played.

With a more intricate combat system and gadgets that add an entirely new dynamic to package delivery, and even a race track to unwind from the grueling task at hand. The sequel will clearly have a bit of everything for everyone, which makes it something to consider looking out for.

These are some of many games to keep an eye out for, and yes, while a lot of them are being released on both the PS4 and PS5 — some even on PC — why settle for the limited experience of last gen consoles. With the PS5’s features being catered to allowing the player to be as immersed as possible at all times, whether it’s the fast load times, haptic feedback, or the adaptive triggers, it’s safe to say that the upgrade is definitely worth it.
