It was the first private university in Jordan to enter the global ranking arena, and today it proudly holds its place among the top 500 universities worldwide, ranking 401–500 globally in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for the second consecutive year.
Moreover, ASU is ranked first in the Arab world and the region and 21st globally to receive the 5-Stars Plus rating in the QS Stars global rating system, the highest possible rating. It also ranked 183rd in Asia in the Times Higher Education Asia Rankings, leading all Jordanian universities, 37th in the Arab world in the QS Arab University Rankings, and 791–800 globally in the QS World University Rankings.

According to data from SciVal, a platform affiliated with Scopus that provides detailed analytics on academic performance, ASU ranks first among Jordanian private universities in international and academic research collaboration, as well as research partnerships with government institutions (2020–October 2025).
