Bahrain announced on Saturday that it had been targeted by a number of Iranian drones, accusing Tehran of "undermining peace efforts" after the United States and Iran exchanged strikes for the first time since their memorandum of understanding, according to the Bahrain News Agency citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In its statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed "the Kingdom of Bahrain's condemnation, in the strongest terms, of the targeting of its territory at dawn today, Saturday, June 27, 2026, by a number of Iranian drones, in a flagrant violation of its sovereignty."
The ministry added that it "reaffirms that the Iranian regime's continued aggression, at a time when regional and international efforts are moving toward de-escalation, places the sole responsibility for undermining peace efforts on Tehran, and exposes an approach rooted in destabilizing security, exporting chaos, and undermining regional stability."
