AMMAN — The Waqf Council of Jerusalem has raised concerns over the recent incidents involving the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied city of Jerusalem. اضافة اعلان

In a statement released on Tuesday, the council highlighted the danger of targeting the blessed mosque and its employees, according to Al-Mamalaka TV.

Israeli occupation forces forcibly expelled all on-duty workers, including guards, firefighters, and maintenance technicians from the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday evening. Consequently, the mosque was transformed into a military barracks, setting a dangerous precedent.

Following this action, the Qibli Mosque was raided arbitrarily, and men and women observing the first ten days of Dhu Al-Hijjah were forcibly evicted, subjected to assault, humiliation, and several young men were arrested.

The council strongly condemned the excessive use of force by the occupation forces against the Al-Aqsa Mosque, its worshipers, and the Islamic Endowments and their employees.

These brutal acts contribute to a growing list of occupation violations, fueling hatred, insecurity, and the risk of a religious war in the region and beyond.

Emphasizing that the Islamic Endowments and the Affairs of the Al-Aqsa Mosque hold sole responsibility for the mosque and its management, including its entire 144-dunum area and its surroundings, the council declared that the mosque is exclusively for Muslims.

Despite the unjust measures and policies targeting Al-Aqsa and its administration, it emphasized that it will continue to be preserved as a Muslim place of worship.

The council, alongside Al-Aqsa Mosque workers, the people of Jerusalem, and Muslims worldwide, reaffirmed their commitment as faithful guardians of the blessed mosque. They remain dedicated to protecting and defending Al-Aqsa, an Islamic sanctuary that refuses any form of partnership or division under any circumstances.
