Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced on Sunday the approval to expand the "Eli" settlement—built on Palestinian land south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank—to three times its current size.

Smotrich stated via X (formerly Twitter) that the Supreme Planning Council will advance 763 housing units in neighborhoods within Eli.
On Saturday dawn, Israeli occupation forces launched a widespread campaign of raids and incursions into the city of Jenin and several towns and villages across the governorate. The operations included searches and arrests, accompanied by heavy military deployment and ongoing troop movements.
Occupation forces also stormed the city of Tubas with a large number of military vehicles, deploying foot soldiers across several neighborhoods and conducting extensive searches of Palestinian homes.
Local sources reported that occupation forces withdrew from the city approximately three hours after the raid, with no arrests reported.
Following their withdrawal from Tubas, occupation forces raided the Far'a camp, initiating a broad campaign of home searches.
These developments followed the killing of two Israelis, the martyrdom of four Palestinians by occupation forces' gunfire, and the injury of four others—three of whom are in critical condition—in the town of Tell, southwest of Nablus, after armed settlers launched an attack on the town, assaulting residents and damaging property.
Occupation forces arrested at least 30 Palestinians at dawn on Saturday during a raid on Tell village, southwest of Nablus.
They also arrested 13 Palestinians from villages across the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, mostly from the town of Abwein, north of the city.
