Weather conditions on Saturday will be foggy during the morning hours, especially over mountainous areas. The weather will be cold and partly to occasionally mostly cloudy, with a continued chance of intermittent rain showers over the western parts of the Kingdom. By the evening hours, the likelihood of rainfall will weaken and conditions will tend toward stability. Winds will be westerly and moderate in speed, becoming active at times in desert regions.
The Meteorological Department has warned in its report of reduced horizontal visibility during the morning and nighttime hours due to fog formation over mountainous heights and some desert and plain areas. It also cautioned against the formation of frost and freezing conditions during the late nighttime hours over the high southern mountainous areas, urging the safe use of heating appliances and attention to the elderly and children, as they are the most affected by cold weather.
On Sunday, temperatures are expected to rise slightly. The weather will remain cold in most regions, while relatively mild in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be southeasterly and moderate, becoming occasionally active.
On Monday, temperatures will drop slightly. The weather will be sunny and cold across most areas, and mild in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be southwesterly and active, raising dust in desert regions.
During the early hours of Tuesday, the impact of a very cold air mass of polar origin associated with a low-pressure system centered over Cyprus will intensify. Temperatures will drop noticeably, and the weather will be very cold, cloudy, and rainy across most regions. Rainfall is expected to be heavy at times and may be accompanied by thunderstorms and hail in some areas. From the early morning hours, there will also be a chance of snowfall over the high mountain peaks, sometimes mixed with rain, with a slight possibility of limited accumulation over the high southern mountain peaks (Al-Sharah). Winds will be westerly and active, with strong gusts at times, raising dust in desert areas.
