Robert Kelker-Kelly died on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at his home in St. Peters, Missouri, after reportedly complaining of chest pain before losing consciousness, according to TMZ.
Police said officers responded at around 8:16 p.m. ET to a report of a man who was unconscious and not breathing. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was already underway when police and paramedics arrived.
Despite continued attempts to save him, emergency responders were unable to revive the actor, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said there were no suspicious circumstances, but an official medical cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

Robert Kelker-Kelly was born on April 18, 1964, in Wichita, Kansas. He grew up in a family outside the entertainment industry. His mother was a nurse, while his father was a pathologist. His parents separated when he was seven, after which he went to live with his father.
Kelker-Kelly attended the University of Kansas for a time but did not complete his studies. He later turned to acting, developing an interest in theater and Shakespeare before beginning his television career.
He made his television debut in 1987 on Another World, where he played Sam Fowler. After several years working in television drama, he landed the role that brought him wider recognition when he took over as Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives in 1992, succeeding Peter Reckell, who had originally played the character.
Kelker-Kelly remained in the role until 1995, appearing in major storylines alongside Kristian Alfonso and Lisa Rinna. He won a Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in 1994 and, the following year, received the award for Outstanding Dramatic Duo with Lisa Rinna.
