Chicken prices up 30% in Q3 at JD1.24 per kg

AMMAN — According to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, farm gate prices of chicken jumped by 30.5 percent in the third quarter (Q3) of 2021, averaging JD1.24 per kg compared to JD0.95 per kg in Q3 of 2020, according to official data.اضافة اعلان

The Department of Statistics said Sunday in a quarterly report that eggs prices remained unchanged at JD0.066 per egg. The department added that chicken meat production, also in Q3, rose by 8.6 percent at 86,100 tonnes compared with 79,300 tonnes in the corresponding period of 2020.
