AMMAN — The
Income and Sales Tax Department (ISTD) said that the number of invoices that were downloaded and
sent through the Fawateery app reached were estimated at 600,000, Al-Mamlaka TV
reported.

The invoices were for goods and services billed through the app since its
launch, while the number of people who downloaded the app on their phones
reached 40,000.
Specialized committees are vetting the invoices before carrying out an e-withdrawal,
which will take place by ISTD before the end of October. Prizes will then be announced to winners who used the app.
Smartphone users can download the “Fawateery” app from the Google Play
store or Apple’s AppStore. A user must register by entering their national identification
number and date of birth to verify their identity.
The first in-kind prize offered by the ISTD is a 2023 Kia Sportage, while the
first cash prize to be given away is JD25,000.
