A certificate of origin is a document used in international trade to certify that goods in a particular shipment were produced, manufactured, or processed in a specific country. It is used by customs authorities to determine tariff eligibility and verify the country of origin of goods.
The Amman Chamber of Commerce issues certificates of origin for Jordanian agricultural and livestock products, raw natural resources, re-exported foreign goods, and foreign goods purchased from the local market under specific conditions.
It also issues certificates of origin for Jordanian industrial products at the exporter’s request, based on the original factory invoice certified by an industrial chamber and an officially authenticated certificate of origin issued by an industrial chamber confirming Jordanian origin, in accordance with Article (29) of the Jordanian Chambers of Commerce Regulation No. (45) of 2009 and the Instructions for Issuing Certificates of Origin of 2013.
