The number of active e-wallets exceeded 2.78 million, up from 2.4 million in November 2024, marking a 15.8% increase with around 380,000 new wallets.

Approximately 10.1 million transactions were carried out through e-wallets, nearly double the 5.56 million transactions recorded in November 2024.

The total transaction value reached 526 million JOD, up 18% from 444 million JOD in the same period last year.

Despite the growth in total value, the average transaction amount fell to 52 JOD, down from 80 JOD in 2024.

Transaction trends:

Money transfers between wallets remain the dominant activity, though their share decreased from 91.4% to 84.7% of total transactions.

Purchases increased significantly, rising from 3.45% to 14.4% of transactions, with total purchase value exceeding 90.9 million JOD, a growth of over 540%.

User demographics:

Jordanian users account for 87.8% of e-wallet holders, with non-Jordanians slightly increasing to 12.2%.

Male users increased to 52.7%, compared to 50% last year.

The data indicate not only rapid adoption of e-wallets but also a shift towards using them more for purchases rather than just transfers.
