U.S. President Donald Trump said negotiations with Tehran took place "throughout the day" on Tuesday, describing the talks as positive, while warning that Iran would face a "very strong" military strike if no agreement is reached.

Trump made the remarks during an interview on Fox News' At Night program.
His comments came after he confirmed that talks between the two sides were ongoing, following a report by Axios stating that the United States, Iran, and Oman were close to reaching a temporary agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which Washington hopes to announce on Wednesday.
Speaking during a visit to California, Trump said, "The strait will be reopened very soon. Otherwise, they will be hit very hard, and then the strait will be reopened anyway."
"We're having very good discussions," he added, saying Tehran is eager to reach an agreement that would bring an end to months of conflict.
"The only thing that matters is actions. They want to make a deal. We'll see what happens," Trump said, adding, "I've got plenty of time."
According to Axios, citing unnamed regional officials and a U.S. official, the proposed agreement would establish 60-day arrangements to ensure safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz between Iran and Oman.
The report said the agreement would not include transit fees and could later be extended.
Under the proposed arrangement, all vessels entering the Gulf would use the northern shipping lane, while outbound vessels would travel through a southern route within Omani territorial waters.
