AMMAN — Astronomy experts expect the Holy month of Ramadan to begin on April 2 and to end on May 1, according to Alghad.
The moon sighting will determine the first day of the Holy month of Ramadan, experts added.

Ibrahim Al-Jarwan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Astronomy Society, said the new moon appeared on Sunday, 18:36 UTC, after the sunset in the UAE, which meant that January 4 was the beginning of Jumada Al Akhira, the sixth month of the Islamic calendar.
