WHO representatives urges Jordanians to take vaccine

AMMAN — World Health Organization representative in Jordan Jamila Al-Rabi sent Jordanians the message “Protect yourself, protect your family, protect your community, and take the initiative to receive COVID-19 vaccine”, stressing that vaccines have proved to be safe and effective in reducing the severity of symptoms and the possibility of death, and that more than eight billion doses have been taken globally, according to Jo24.اضافة اعلان

Rabi said that unvaccinated people are more likely to be hospitalized and to die, and that 82 percent of the cases admitted to hospitals and 87 percent of the deaths are among unvaccinated people.

Legal and social expert Daniela Al-Quraan was quoted in Al-Rai stating that vaccines may be the best hope for stopping the spread of the virus and the only hope for returning to normal like.

She said that numerous studies showed that recipients of COVID-19 vaccines are safer than unvaccinated people, adding that 80 percent of the cases that require hospital admission are from among the unvaccinated.
