Universities to begin remote lectures and work due to intense heatwave

AMMAN — Various Jordanian universities have announced the conversion of their face-to-face lectures to remote teaching starting on Sunday, due to the heatwave that began Saturday, August 12, and that is expected to last for several days.اضافة اعلان

Working hours were adjusted to end at 1:00 PM, except for those whose work nature requires otherwise, Al-Mamlaka News reported.

Colleges, departments, and the e-learning center will reschedule Sunday's exams, and practical labs will be compensated through academic departments.

The Graduate Studies College rescheduled thesis discussions in coordination with committee heads and relevant deans.

Universities incorporating online learning are: Yarmouk University, Al-Hussein Bin Talal University, Al-Balqa Applied University, Jordan University of Science and Technology, and Jordan University.
