Technical panel tasked with investigating nationwide blackout to meet next week

AMMAN — Head of the Lower House’s energy and mineral resources committee, Zaid Al-Otoum, said on Thursday that a number of experts in the field of energy were consulted by the technical committee tasked with investigating last month’s nationwide power outage.اضافة اعلان

During a committee meeting on Thursday, Otoum said that the technical panel will adjourn its meetings next week, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

For his part, director general of the National Electric Power Company, Amjad Al-Rawashdeh, who attended the meeting, stressed that the power network was not subject to any attacks, and that the shale oil company Al-Attarat had no association to the incident, noting that it is yet to begin operations.
