The Directorate emphasized the absolute necessity of staying away from flood-prone areas (valleys and lowlands) and cautioned against attempting to cross water-covered roads, regardless of how low the water level may appear. It stressed the importance of moving immediately to higher, safer ground should water begin to rise.

Furthermore, the PSD urged citizens to avoid water reservoirs or dams during flash floods and to drive with extreme care due to reduced horizontal visibility caused by fog over mountainous highlands and dust in desert (Badia) regions.

The guidelines also highlighted the need to:

Secure loose objects that may be blown away by high-speed winds.

Ensure the safe use of all types of heaters.

Maintain proper ventilation inside homes at all times.

The Public Security Directorate reaffirmed its readiness to handle all reports and emergencies, calling on citizens to dial the emergency number (911) whenever assistance is needed.
