Postponing second semester to February 20 is ‘good decision’

AMMAN — Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education Nawaf Ajarmeh on Sunday said that postponing the start of the second semester to February 20 was a good decision, according to Khaberni.اضافة اعلان

If students were to return to schools at the beginning of February, the number of infections among students would have increased significantly in light of the pandemic situation in the Kingdom, Ajarmeh said.

He said that the school health protocol stipulates that there will be no suspension of school attendance in relation to coronavirus infections, stressing the importance of commitment by students and teachers to preventive measures, like wearing facemasks, and social distancing.
