AMMAN — Director of the Curriculum and
Textbooks Management Department at the Ministry of Education Saleh Al-Omari
said that the Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the National Center
for Curricular Development will modify several textbooks for the general
secondary education certificate examination (Tawjihi) level, according to
Ad-Dustour News.

Omari said that the subjects that will be modified
include the Math textbooks for the literary, scientific, and vocational
streams, as well a number of other scientific subjects, like physics,
chemistry, geology, and land and environmental studies.
The ministry will carry out assessments on grades 4,
5, and 6 in the Arabic language and Math to determine the aptitude of students
following online education due to the pandemic.
Omari said that the ministry will carry out another sample
assessment a later stage on grades 7-11, again to determine whether they can
advance to the next level or attend remedial classes.
