Positivity rate at 5.4 percent, 1,652 new COVID-19 cases reported

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,652 new COVID-19 cases and 10 new deaths Sunday, bringing the total death toll to 10,951 and the total number of cases to 851,410.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 561 cases, while Zarqa recorded 109 cases. Irbid registered 382 cases, Balqa 106 cases, Karak recorded 69, Jerash recorded 48 cases, and Tafileh recorded 21. Madaba registered 47 cases, Aqaba 118, and Ajloun 87.

The ministry said in a statement that around 62 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 89 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 17,939 according to the ministry. Around 5.40 percent of the 30,590 COVID-19 tests conducted Sunday came back positive.
