PM opens Jordan's national day within Dubai Expo 2020 activities

AMMAN — On Friday, Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh inaugurated Jordan's National Day in the Dubai Expo 2020 at Dubai Exhibition Center, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

In the presence of the UAE State for International Cooperation minister and Dubai Expo 2020 director-general, Reem Al Hashimy, Jordan's ambassador in Abu Dhabi, Nassar Habashneh, and several Jordanian community members, Khasawneh voiced his appreciation to the UAE for hosting the global event.

Khasawneh also noted the volume of trade exchange between Jordan and the UAE that stood at $891 million in 2020 and stressed the need to enhance cooperation with Abu Dhabi in various sectors to serve the two countries' interests.

The UAE has invested almost $17 billion into the Kingdom and is considered one of the key partners in this regard, according to the prime minister.

Commenting on the investment process in Jordan, Khasawneh said that his government is working on a new law for investment and has established an investment ministry for the first time.

Khasawneh called on the UAE business community to establish projects and partnerships with Jordan, voicing his government's keenness to prioritize the UAE investments and provide all facilitations in this regard.

The prime minister visited the UAE pavilion, was briefed on its activities, and praised the UAE's achievements in the pavilion.
