Nine new COVID deaths, 1,191 new cases

AMMAN  — Jordan recorded 1,191 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, in addition to nine new deaths, bringing the total death toll to 10,827 and the total caseload to 835,969.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 445 cases, while Zarqa recorded 114 cases. Irbid registered 258 cases, Balqa 38 cases, Karak recorded 44, Jerash recorded 23 cases, and Tafileh recorded 22. Madaba registered 39 cases, Aqaba 60, and Ajloun 50.

The ministry added in a statement that some 60 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 73 were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 14,129 according to the Ministry of Health. Around 3.91 percent of the 30,456 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
