The campaign will test the cleanup efficiency of municipal authorities across the Kingdom to determine the best one. Kreishan said the winning municipality will receive a prize of JD3 million. The competition had caught the attention of His Majesty King Abdullah II when it was first launched in 2019.

Kreishan said that the prize will be given to honor the role of municipalities in unwaveringly cleaning up our environment to insure the health of citizens, to protect and preserve our natural resources, our parks, and recreational areas.

The minister also urged the various municipal committees, members, executive officers, and workers to spare no effort at working towards winning the prize, which will be declared in October this year.

The prize aligns with the goals of King Abdullah in maintaining a clean environment in cities, villages, the countryside, Badia, and the camps in cooperation with various national sectors, Kreishan said.

Kreishan also expressed his appreciation to the country and all Jordanians, adding that the His Majesty wants the officials to follow up on their duties, work, and responsibilities in the field and to stay close to citizens to address their needs as much as possible.
