Ministry of Labor to be restructured, developed, says deputy PM

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of State for Public Sector Modernization Nasser Shraideh, announced that the government will restructure and develop the Ministry of Labor, as part of its executive program to modernize the public sector.اضافة اعلان

Shraideh disclosed the government's priorities and initiatives for 2023 saying that all the initiatives included in the organizational structure and governance component were approved during the national dialogue conducted by the Economic and Social Council, except for the dissolution of the Ministry of Labor.

Restructure"The government studied all these outputs with great interest and objectivity, and based on that, it decided to restructure and develop the Ministry of Labor, and include it as a priority after conducting a concept study to achieve this," Shraideh said.

The organizational structure and governance component includes completing administrative, technical, and legal reviews to establish the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, he said.

The initial plan is to merge the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research. Also, the government will complete administrative, technical, and legal reviews to establish the Ministry of Infrastructure Services resulting from the merger of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.

In addition, the Department of Statistics will be transformed into an interactive national statistical center for data collection, analysis, and dissemination, he said.
