Minister highlights partnerships for vulnerable groups

AMMAN — During a signing ceremony for a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Italian Hospital and Caritas Jordan, Minister of Social Development Wafaa Bani Mustafa highlighted the instrumental role of associations as key partners in the ministry's efforts to expand services to vulnerable groups. She stressed that collaborative ventures with partner institutions significantly contribute to delivering top-notch care services. Mustafa's statements underscored the ministry's commitment to catering to the needs of underserved segments, particularly focusing on health and psychological support. She also emphasized the significance of psychological counseling, a central feature within the ministry's shelter centers, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.اضافة اعلان

Number of youths entering education and rehabilitation centers
The minister revealed that a total of 1,169 juveniles entered education and rehabilitation centers from the start of 2023 until the end of last July. Additionally, 1,170 individuals were discharged, and 256 beneficiaries accessed social care facilities, with 122 beneficiaries being discharged within the same period.

According to a Ministry statement, the memorandum aims to fortify the ministry's commitment to offering optimal social care services to beneficiaries. This agreement, signed at the Ministry's headquarters, sets forth plans to execute activities tailored to the needs of target beneficiaries, encompassing social, medical, and psychological care services.

Under the provisions of the MoU, training workshops will be conducted to enhance the skillsets of workers in areas such as first aid and the proper storage of medication.
