King visits entrepreneurial projects in Salt

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah , visited two entrepreneurial projects supported by the Salt Development Corporation during a visit to the city of Salt on Wednesday, according to a Royal Court statement. King Abdullah visited Saltos Ceramic Art Project, established in 2009 to provide an engaging experience for tourists. His Majesty also visited Jareer Al Adham Guesthouse, which is part of the Jordan Trail and was built in 1891. Salt Development Corporation contributed to renovating the house, which is run by a woman from the local community, to become a guesthouse that offers traditional dishes to tourists. The King also visited Salt Development Corporation and was briefed on the projects it carries out to preserve the heritage of the city, which is inscribed on the UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi accompanied His Majesty on the visit.
