Jordan registers 29 COVID-19 related deaths, 2,674 infections on Saturday

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 2,674 new COVID-19 cases and 29 new deaths on Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 11,515 and the total number of cases to 939,293.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 830 cases, while Zarqa recorded 347cases. Irbid registered 774 cases, Balqa 140 cases, Karak recorded 50 cases, Jerash recorded 29 cases, and Tafileh recorded 16 cases. Madaba registered 81cases, Aqaba 32 , Ramtha 112, and Ajloun 57.

The ministry said in a statement that 101 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 165 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 49,622 according to the ministry. Out of 30,296 COVID-19 tests conducted Saturday 8.83 percent of them came back positive.
