Jordan’s positivity rate stands at 9.2 on Wednesday

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 4,534 new COVID-19 cases and 26 new deaths on Wednesday, bringing the total death toll to 11,429 and the total number of cases to 928,256.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 1,620 cases, while Zarqa recorded 559 cases. Irbid registered 950 cases, Balqa 280 cases, Karak recorded 137 cases, Jerash recorded 200 cases, and Tafileh recorded 26 cases. Madaba registered 160 cases, Aqaba 87, Ramtha 221, and Ajloun 90.

The ministry said in a statement that 134 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 186 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 44,810 according to the ministry. Out of 49,281 COVID-19 tests conducted Wednesday 9.2 percent of them came back positive.
