Jordan rainfall recovers, dams fill to 44.4%

AMMAN – On Friday, the Ministry of Water and irrigation stated that the long-term annual average rainfall increased to around 63.6 percent of the long-term annual normal, or approximately 8.1 billion cubic meters per year. اضافة اعلان

Rainfall was 71.8 percent higher than the long-term yearly normal for the same time period last year. The overall storage in the main dams has increased to 128 million cubic meters, accounting for 44.4 percent of their total storage capacity of 288.128 million cubic meters, Al-Ghad reported.

During the past 24 hours, the highest recorded rainfall occurred in Mafraq, reaching 12.8mm.
