Jordan imports 310K tablets worth JD49.5M, reflecting changing demand

AMMAN – On Saturday, the Head of the Association for Mobile Investors (Vision), Ahmad Alloush, revealed that traders in Jordan imported 310,000 tablets with a total value of JD49.5 million.اضافة اعلان

Notably, there have been significant changes in tablet imports. In 2022, 451,000 devices were imported, amounting to JD51 million, while in 2021, 359,000 devices were imported, valued at JD49 million, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.

Furthermore, in 2020, 314,000 tablets were imported, totaling JD38 million. In 2019, 196,000 tablets were imported, valued at JD21 million. The year 2018 saw the import of 172,000 tablets, amounting to JD29 million.

Alloush emphasized that these figures reflect changes in demand for tablets over the years and highlight the evolution in the quality and variety of available devices in the local markets. Having diverse options in terms of prices and quality caters to the needs and budgets of different consumer segments.

He also underscored the importance of tablets in daily life and education for individuals.
