Municipality spokesperson Nasser Al-Rahameh confirmed that field teams are fully prepared to respond to reports received by the Tla’ Al-Ali Emergency Center. He urged residents to contact the unified call center at 102 or 117180 to report any incidents.
Al-Rahameh advised the public to exercise caution by avoiding flood-prone areas such as valleys and low-lying zones, and stressed the importance of not connecting rooftop drainage pipes to the sewage network to prevent overflow onto streets. He also warned against improper disposal of waste, which can obstruct rainwater drainage systems.
He highlighted the need for residents and business owners to check submersible pumps in basements and shops located below street level. Store owners were also encouraged to take preventive measures when storing goods in warehouses and basement levels.
Al-Rahameh further called on contractors and construction site operators to secure building materials to prevent runoff that could contribute to blocked stormwater drains.
