Government to push for increase in COVID-19 vaccine uptake — epidemiological committee

AMMAN — Bassam Hijjawi, a member of the National Epidemics Committee, announced Sunday that the government will implement measures to increase the uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to Al-Ghad news.اضافة اعلان

He stated that the measures, which will be announced next week, are a response to the decline in demand for COVID-19 jabs in the Kingdom, which he believes is owed to Jordan’s stabilizing epidemiological condition. According to Hijjawi, less than 20,000 individuals are taking the vaccine per day, a drop from 100,000.

He added that the vaccines are “100 percent safe” to take, showing high effectiveness rates.
