Faraya, IEC discuss plans to hold next parliamentary elections

Amman - Interior Minister, Mazen Faraya, on Sunday chaired a meeting, attended by the Chairman of Independent Election Commission (IEC), Musa Maaytah, with the participation of stakeholders virtually, to discuss preparations for holding the 2024 upcoming elections of the Lower House of Representatives.اضافة اعلان

The meeting went over ways to ensure security protection for the polling and counting centers and the locations for final results collection, according to a ministry statement.

The discussions also highlighted the ministry's existing cooperation with IEC in all fields to ensure that the Kingdom's electoral process is conducted as hoped, especially with regard to facilitating procedures for voters to access ballot locations and cast their votes "easily," the statement pointed out.
