AMMAN — A slight drop in temperatures is expected on
Wednesday, so it will be fair in the highlands and the plains, and hot in the
Badia areas, the Jordan Valley and Aqaba, with westerly moderate to brisk
winds, blowing dust at times, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
On Thursday, a further dip in mercury levels is forecast,
but moderate weather conditions will remain in the hilly areas and the plains,
while it will be relatively hot in the Badia, and hot in the Jordan Valley, the
Dead Sea and Aqaba, with northwesterly moderate to active winds, the JMD added.
No significant change on the weather is forecast for Friday,
the JMD predicted, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom
will range between 28°C and 31°C on Wednesday, dropping at night to 20°C or
even 14°C in the southern region.
In the Jordan Valley and Aqaba, it will be much hotter with
mercury levels in the 40°C vicinity.
