Construction of automobile city to start this year

AMMAN — The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) said that construction of the Automobile City project will start later this year in the Maduna area, east of Amman, according to Al-Mamlaka TV. اضافة اعلان

As part of the GAM’s investment strategy for the years 2022–2026, the project includes combining the new and used car agencies to create one central specialized station for car sales and purchases, transfer of ownership, and licensing transactions in the Maduna region.

The GAM said the project will be built on 900,000sq.m., at a cost of JD70 million. Construction will start later in the year.

Separately, the municipality said a slaughterhouse will be built in the same region, in accordance with the highest international standards, requirements, and environmental and health conditions. Roughly 140,000sq.m. has been allocated for the project valued at JD35 million.

The GAM also intends to sign 11 contracts for small and medium-size projects worth JD17 million, in addition to healthcare and medical education projects worth JD400 million with the Saudi-Jordanian Investment Fund.
