Director of the Catholic Center for Studies and Media (CCSM), Father Rifat Bader, told Al-Mamlaka TV that the Catholic pilgrimage has been celebrated continuously for 22 years, uninterrupted.

He emphasized that it will continue to be celebrated, because it is the “sacred and spiritual place and the Baptism of Christ.” He added that the Baptism site is vital to the religious tourism in Jordan which he hopes will recover from the COVID-19 repercussions.
