AMMAN — A 17-year-old boy drowned in the King Abdullah Canal in the Jordan Valley district of Deir Alla early Wednesday, according to a medical source, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

Despite the best efforts of rescue teams, the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Abu Obeida Al-Jarrah Hospital Director Muayad Shakour.

The canal, an artificial water conduit, traverses numerous communities in the Jordan Valley, and accidents of this nature occur frequently.
