Army kills infiltrator on northeastern border

AMMAN — A Border Guard unit early Monday engaged a group trying to infiltrate the Kingdom's northeastern frontier, killing one and pushing the remaining members of the group to retreat, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

In a brief statement, the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army said the infiltrators were linked to a group that attacked a Border Guard patrol on Sunday and killed an army captain, and injured three soldiers.

The army said it will respond with all strength and resolve against any infiltration attempt to protect the Kingdom's borders and prevent any violation of national security.
