60,000 Captagon pills seized at Jaber crossing

AMMAN — The authorities Tuesday seized a large quantity of illicit narcotic pills at the norther Jaber Border Crossing with Syria, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.اضافة اعلان

It said the 60,000 Captagon pills were hidden in cigarette packs and concealed in a plastic container.

Amer Al-Sartawi, a spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate, said the Anti-Narcotics Department, in coordination with security services and Jordan Customs, nabbed the drugs when workers suspected the content of the abandoned container.

Sartawi said an investigation is underway to apprehend the perpetrators.
