5.3% Increase in Marriage Cases Last Year; Divorce Rate Remains Stable in Jordan

His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Hafiz Al-Rabta, Chief Islamic Justice, revealed that the number of marriage cases in Jordan rose by 5.3% in the past year compared to 2023.اضافة اعلان

During a press conference held on Monday to launch the annual report of the Sharia Courts, Al-Rabta stated that the divorce rate in 2024 remained stable at 2.2 per 1,000 people.

He also noted that 197 cases were referred to the Public Prosecution through the Sharia Courts last year.
