AMMAN — Jordan recorded 17 new COVID-19 deaths on Monday and 1,015 new cases, bringing the total
death toll to 10,697 and the total caseload to 820,798.
The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded
393 cases, while Zarqa recorded 98 cases. Irbid registered 186 cases, while
Balqa recorded 74 cases. Karak recorded 54 cases, Jerash recorded 18 cases, and
Tafileh recorded 18 new cases. Madaba registered 20, Aqaba 47, and Ajloun 15
new cases.
The ministry said in a statement that some 76
hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from
hospital, while 62 new patients were admitted.
The number of active COVID-19 cases in the
Kingdom stands at around 12,328, the ministry said. Around 3.71 percent of the 27,367
COVID-19 tests that were conducted Monday came back positive.
