Orange Jordan Highlights Women Entrepreneurs’ Success Stories Through Sponsorship of “SHERO” Conference
Orange Jordan announced its sponsorship of the “SHERO” conference aimed at supporting women leaders. The event was organized by the DART Club, the student arm of the Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, with the goal of showcasing the contributions of female leaders and change-makers, celebrating the voices of Jordanian women who are breaking barriers and making tangible impacts across various sectors.
Orange Jordan expressed its belief in the importance of empowering and supporting women, noting that the conference aligns with the company’s vision and community initiatives, particularly the Orange Digital Center programs. The company continues to strengthen female representation, increasing external recruitment of women by 36% in 2023, with women now representing 27% of total employees, 25% of whom hold leadership positions within Orange.
The startup iRole, winner of the global edition of the Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP) in the “International Women’s Prize” category, participated in a panel discussion titled “From Passion to Business – The Next SHEROs.” The company showcased its experience and notable achievements, emphasizing the role of BIG by Orange in Zarqa, part of the Orange Digital Center, in incubating its project.
The conference served as a dynamic platform for dialogue and inspiration, featuring panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities among women entrepreneurs.
